Retrospect Nashville
Photograph
Retrospect Nashville was created by me, Vickie Rosa. I have been in the photography business in the Nashville area since 2008.
Back then I went by Rosa Photography, and would set up shop just about anywhere to take photos. Now I am running a home studio in Mount Juliet, but I’m always still excited to work in new locations.
In 2013, I changed to the name Retrospect because it speaks to both the way we remember the past through photos, and gives a nod to my love of vintage aesthetics and styling.
When I was first starting out, I really gravitated to vintage style pinup photography. Over the years my skills and style have evolved and my passion now lies in creating unique sets and styling for dramatic sessions.
Retrospect offers portrait photography for individuals, couples, and groups interested in fantasy, vintage, cosplay, or other themed sessions.
Additionally, Retrospect works with brands, events, and entrepreneurs to create imagery that grabs your audience’s attention and sets you apart from your competition.
My love for photography started as a kid with disposable cameras back in the early 90s. (Yes, I was a kid back in the late 1900s.) Photography has been the constant thread as far back as I can remember. From disposables to the high school darkroom to years of practicing on family and friends has finally lead to my own small business.
I started photographing professionally in 2008. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with so many artists, brands, and individuals to create unique portraits. I love to collaborate with clients to create the session of their dreams.
